I went to the Country Living Christmas show in London yesterday with my sister Lisa and friend Mekette. I had a lovely time with the girls, despite being a little disappointed by the show in general. The food however did not disappoint! I especially liked these edible trees!

We also had a chance to visit some great little stores, including 'The Make Lounge' which is a small craft shop selling supplies, patterns, books and a few handmade goods. They also hold contemporary craft workshops, running classes in things such as; bookbinding, designing and making Silver jewellery, cupcake decorating, Knitting, screen printing and 'Knockout Knickers'!

The list just goes on and on...

We also popped into 'After Noah' which had a vintage style toy shop on the ground floor and antique furniture down in the basement (which reminded me a lot of the market from the film 'Bedknobs and Broomsticks'). I just loved it!

Buttons the Elephant!

I went into a thrift store a recently looking for a hardback book to start a new project. Instead I found an old 60's book full of cute and cuddly animal patterns.

My sister's children absolutely love animals,so I decided to make the elephant for my nephew's 3rd birthday. I did end up making a few changes and adding buttons, but I think it turned out well.

My new t-shirt scarf!

I couldn't find an actual t-shirt to re-purpose into a scarf, but I did find this little number to give it a go. Unfortunately I ended up having to do it the hard way as I couldn't find my rotary cutter, but I was surprised at how quick and easy it was to make!

My nieces birthday present

It was my beautiful niece's 2nd birthday last week. She absolutely loves birds and animals so I thought I'd try to make her a little pink owl. Here is how the finished product turned out. It's not exactly what I'd planned to do, but I think it's still quite cute.
